Apaixonado por Chae Kyung, por isso, apesar de tudo o que lhe cerca, faz o possível para protegê-la, ou pelo menos tenta. Além de tudo isso, tem um relacionamento “complicado” com seu irmão mais velho. Bom, eu sou meio suspeita para falar do Woo Jin… mas como sempre, fez um papel maravilhoso e não surpreende ninguém. Esse personagem foi feito pra ele, não é possível! Ao longo do drama você consegue o entender mais e mais, e acaba se apegando de uma maneira que você fica pior que a Chae Kyung. Lee Yoong – Rei Yeonsangun Lee Dong Gun Falando nele, olha quem aparece! Como já havia dito, Lee Yoong é o Rei. Porém, como seu falecido pai havia deixado o trono para seu irmão mais novo, o Yi Yeok, ele fica inconformado. Não mede esforços para proteger seu trono e sua reputação como rei, sendo extremamente relutante quando Yeok volta. E para melhorar a situação, depois de Yeok desaparece, o Rei começa a desenvolver um sentimento bem forte por Chae Kyung, apesar de ser casado. E isso não muda até sua volta, na verdade, fica mais forte ainda. Bom, Dong Gun mostrou o que é capaz. O Rei é frio quando necessário, autoritário quando precisa e algumas vezes age como uma criança.
